I'm almost sure that you shouldn't see huge flakes of rust laying across the 480V terminals of a 31kV Beam Supply.
I wonder why this doesn't work? Funny thing is, the short is on the 31kV side of the transformer. Makes a nice little group of smoke bubbles at about 8kV.
Another part of the tank, again, on top of a transformer is a huge flake of rust having fallen from the inside of the top. I suppose the factory seal went the way of the factory, hmmm?
Funny, in my other HV Power supply on site, the oil was clean. This was smoky colored. Being here in Georgia, I know good cooking requires a lot of smoke, however, this thing isn't cooking very well. And I don't think I'd eat the meat that comes out of this oil, anyway!
